Meet the Hut Salud: Royal Heart
This brand is royalty at heart- the beat of what they do is to give back. All of the products they sell are handmade or curated homemade pieces! The Hut Salud is compromised of 8 female artisans- a powerhouse to say the least! Read below to see what true empowerment feels like!
1. Tell us about the mission of your brand- how does it empower women?
The Hut Salud is lifestyle jewelry and clothing company made up of 8 female artisans with mission to not only support ourselves but other female entrepreneurs and businesses. This network of female entrepreneurs shines a great light on successful women empowering and learning from each other.
2. What is the biggest challenge you’ve had to press through as a female entrepreneur?
Honestly this question is difficult to answer because I personally have not found entrepreneur challenges because of I was a female, but simply because I'm an entrepreneur in general. Essentially moving from that 9-5 structure to the entrepreneur structure, which is more flexible and less rigid was good and bad. I didn't have my own work structure, so I was working 24/7 and was burning out. Because of this, I needed to create my own structure and stick with it. I started creating work hours on my emails and calendar; and I've found this has truly helped my success.
3. What sets your brand apart from others?
The overall experience you have when dealing with my brand, from the quality of work we provide, the interactions and knowledge we share on our social media, the customer service you receive and the message we are sending to our followers: that by supporting each other, you will succeed.
4. How do you collaborate with others working towards a better world?
My background is public health so I make sure proceeds go towards health organization I support. Additionally, we have donated jewelry to women empowerment organization such as Women's Second Start: a program by Centers Against Domestic Violence. We always look to see what events other entrepreneurs are hosting and see how we partner with them.
5. What advice would you give to female entrepreneurs in the beginning stages of launching their brand or business?
First, RESEARCH your market! Don't just assume you having a product or brand is enough, it is not! You need to do research. Second, do not be afraid to reach out to other female entrepreneurs for guidance; we have been through it, we can help. And if that one person who you do reach out doesn't help, don't give up- keep reaching out until you find that support system. We are out there. Third, find a reliable team- we know you can do it on your own- YOU ARE EVERYTHING - BUT do not do it on your own- it will only limit your success.
6. Anything else you want to share with our readers?
Simple, that I'm honored to be a part of this great platform and to please reach out to me if to speak to someone who gets it!
